Using a variety of materials is one of my favorite methods to create art. This gallery shows a wide array of mediums, including watercolor, pastels, coffee, fabrics, colored pencils, and ink. Pieces such as these often start spontaneously, with fabric dyes and watercolors dripping, splashing and creeping across the page in colorful chaos. Then, a magical transformation takes place. Images begin to emerge, issuing shy invitations for me to help them reveal themselves. My job becomes that of a facilitator. I balance the needs of the imagery with that of the chaos from which it was born.
